About the system

Fire detection and alarm in Kyiv and Ukraine

A fire alarm system detects signs of fire, processes events, activates audible or visual warning and can control connected building systems according to the approved cause-and-effect logic.

KABO GROUP reviews the available information, prepares an agreed technical scope and completes the work with the defined documentation.

Practical guide

System details and solution selection

How the solution is selected

We assess the building use, protected area, fire risks, existing engineering services and the required performance before agreeing the technical solution.

What affects scope and cost

The estimate reflects system size, equipment or materials, access conditions, interfaces, commissioning and the completion documents agreed for the project.

From survey to handover

KABO GROUP can survey, design, supply, install, test and hand over the system, followed by planned maintenance where required.

Notification and evacuation control

Sounders, visual indicators and voice notification are activated by the approved cause-and-effect logic and coordinated with evacuation and smoke-control systems.

System architecture and detector selection

Addressable or conventional architecture is selected for scale, zoning, event location, cause-and-effect and maintenance. Detector type follows the expected fire signature, height, airflow, dust, steam and temperature.

Device locations are coordinated with ceilings, lighting, ventilation, beams and storage. Compliance must include safe physical access for testing and replacement.

Warning and evacuation control

Warning may include visual signs, sounders and voice alarms. Type, zoning, activation sequence, messages and sound levels follow building characteristics, occupants, ambient noise and evacuation strategy.

The fire alarm issues commands to interfaced systems through an agreed cause-and-effect. Integrated testing follows the chain from detector activation to warning, controls, status transmission and event logging.

Installation, programming and integrated testing

Before installation, routes, fire-resistant circuits, equipment positions and interfaces are coordinated. Afterwards, circuits, addressing, standby power, fault monitoring and programming are verified against the design.

Testing covers devices, open- and short-circuit monitoring, standby supply, warning and every agreed interface. Handover includes test records, settings, as-built drawings and user briefing as agreed.

Regulatory basis

Regulations and standards considered

This list explains the regulatory basis but is not a substitute for a project or a complete schedule for every building. Document status, amendments and building-specific requirements are verified when the project starts.

Process

Work stages

Building information

We receive the building purpose, floor area, plans and available technical documentation.

Review and survey

We analyse the information, inspect the site when required and define the system scope.

Equipment selection

We select the control panel, detectors, notification devices and interfaces required by the design.

Project development

We prepare drawings, diagrams, explanatory materials and equipment schedules.

FAQ

Common questions

Can you maintain the system after installation?+

Yes. The scope and frequency are defined in a separate maintenance agreement.

How does the work begin?+

We start with the available information, a site survey and an agreed technical brief.

What determines the cost?+

Cost depends on floor area, building configuration, system scope, access conditions and the required completion documents.

Can KABO GROUP deliver the complete scope?+

Yes. We can provide design, supply, installation, testing, handover documents and planned maintenance.
